How can stop depression after retirement

Depression after Retirement

Depression is described as "a mental illness is characterized by feelings of sadness and lack of interest in enjoyable activities.  It is a persistent low mood that interferes with the ability to function and appreciate things in life. It may cause a wide range of symptoms, both physical and emotional. It can last for weeks, months, or years. People with depression rarely recover without treatment."

We all look forward to retirement.Idea of retiring brings in a sense of doom and has a finality to it. Individuals who have taken immense pleasure in doing their jobs, often find themselves lost after retirement. They feel  helpless, for not having anything to keep themselves busy. They can do other things to keep themselves busy.Once a person is faced depression , it becomes quite difficult to show any interest in performing daily activities. These people realize that they were good at their jobs, they were efficient and were appreciated.  The honest truth is that, once you have retired, accept it gracefully and be grateful for the opportunities you received for proving your caliber. It can be harder on those individuals who spent a majority of their lives in working. Finally as a result it avoid personal relationships at home and with other family members and friends. Such people find themselves lost and lonely, because they fear it's too late to make amends or rekindle fond relationships.

Reasons for depression

Depression can be rooted in a chemical imbalance of the brain but is often environmental. It's normal and natural to be depressed after the death of a loved one, like our mother. We all know mother is how much important in our life. Its a great thing gift by god. Medication is not always necessary for this kind of depression because it's perfectly normal.  Talk therapy, emotional support, a good diet and exercise routine is the way of reducing depression.
Sugars, caffeine and trans fats should be avoided or used in great moderation. Daily sunshine can also help with mood and physical exercise is important.

  • Plan ahead before retirement what we can do after that.with your time.
